- Fonetics:
An online language laboratory : phonologically complete pronunciation
guides to many languages, including seven varieties of English. -
you simply mouse over the sounds to hear them spoken, so even young
children can access this resource. There is also a
'suggestions for teachers' page with outline lesson plans. NB:
Macintoshes seem to have difficulty with this technology.
- Garden
Of Praise - Spelling: Kids enjoy learning to spell with songs
about the 1-1-1 Spelling Rule, the Silent E Rule, the Y Rule and
rules for forming plurals. Free sheet music and
spelling exercises with instant feedback.
- Orton Gillingham:Sensational Strategies for Teaching Beginning Readers.
Outstanding phonics based reading program.
- Paradigm Online

-
Parts Of Speech: This was my favorite practice test link for grammar
because it explained "why" the answers were the way they were done. It's
hard sometimes for a parent to always explain everything if they've been
out of school awhile themselves, lol.
- Teachers Guide:
The novels of Susan Rowan
Masters are used as a basis to prompt discussion of such themes as family, friendship,
separation/loss, and
self-confidence. This guide for parents and teachers offers various activities to
integrate the curriculum.
-
The Tongue Untied: Great
grammar explanation and practice quizzes too!
