How To Make Lasting Changes

bar_flar_wte.gif (3593 bytes)

  1. Change is a step of faith. We may never see the benefits of the changes we are trying to make, but they do exist. We must have the faith that what we are doing works.

  2. Change is a roller coaster ride. Children will revisit old behaviors from time to time.

  3. In order to change, we must constantly update our knowledge base.

  4. We need to develop alot of skills and strategies.

  5. We must be willing to take emotional vacations without feeling guilty.

  6. Understand ways to see life from the child's point of view. E. G. learning style inventories and profiling.

  7. Think in positives and try to avoid negative people.

  8. Be flexible. The person with the most flexiblity is the one with the most control.

Think Win-Win
