The Learning Style Inventory And Motivational Gifts Profile
A successful parent makes every attempt to view life from their child’s point of view while the two of them work together to see life from the same point of view. Everyone has a different perspective on life and the situations attached to it. Quite often parents will react to the way their children manage life’s situations not realizing that they have a unique motivational gift and learning style that they use while learning and while viewing life.
If you were asked could put yourself in one of the categories below as a learner:
VISUAL - SEEING
AUDITORY - HEARING
KINESTHETIC - MOVEMENT
TACTILE – TOUCH
Could you answer the following questions?
What is my best time for learning? Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.
Would I like a snack while I’m reading?
Would I like a hard chair or a soft couch while I work?
Are distractions a problem or does it matter if the T.V. is on?
Understanding these qualities in our children helps us capitalize on their strongest learning modality and maximizes their time on task.
Motivationally all people mentally sort information into categories:

INFORMATION
PLACES
And have different gifts that allow them to handle life’s situations within their comfort zone based upon the following:
